Kim Delaney has won Emmy Awards for the role of Detective Diane Russell. Her most well-known role is her role as a character in All My Children Philly CSI: Miami, Army Wives. Delaney was the only daughter of the United Auto Workers executive and his wife who was a household worker. She grew up in a family which included four brothers. As a child she longed to be a reporter for the court. But after she graduated from high school and relocating into New York in the 1980s, she began modeling. Her first acting job was as a teenage innocent as a child in All My Children, a soap opera from 1981. Delaney has appeared in a variety of television shows, films and dramas after that. Her professional career has been better than her personal life. The talented actor has had to battle alcoholism, and she has experienced two marriages that failed. In 2005, her custody was confiscated from her.
