She has also become an Instagram celebrity. Ashley isn't very open about her parents. However she has credited her father as being the one that inspired her to start working out. Her father was a bodybuilder who had a lot of fun when he lived in his 20s-30s. Ashley began swimming at age four. For the next ten years she continued taking classes. Ashley entered many competitions however she wasn't dedicated because her body wasn't equipped to adhere to a strict diet. She finished seventh, and felt that this was an undeserved loss. It made Ashley push herself to be better. After winning fifth place at the 2015 WBFF World Championships, Ashley made the decision to not compete anymore. When she was still competing in events she received offers of photoshoots. However, she wasn't looking to combine her careers. After she retired from competition and quit, she began to work as a fitness-model. Her cover was published in a well-known fitness publication, which began her fitness modelling career. She was signed by an agency straight away after. She has since been a highly sought-after model and has been a model for a variety of bikini brands and worldwide known clothing brands.
